Pita sandwich with jackfruit

This is your kind of fruit, if you dont really like fruits but love street food! Very smooth mounth feeling, thanks to smoked paprika and vegan mayo.

Open the can of jackfruit and let it leak on a sleeve.

Cut the onion in nice thin rings. Mash the garlic clove.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion about 3 minutes.

Pull the flesh of the jackfruit in medium thin threads. Add to the pan together with mashed garlic. Stir fry further. Add tomato paste, shoarma spices and paprika powder. Continue frying about 1-2 more minutes. Turn the heat off.

Make your sandwich: Put the pita sandwich in the oven or in a dry pan. Heat it about 3 minutes. Then open the sandwich, grease both sides with vegan mayo. Fill it with jackfruit and greens to your choice.
