Turkish Pizza with garlic sauce

Another very popular street food. Make it yourself from scratch in 1 hour for authenticity without additives or in 20 minutes if you rather use ready made wraps.

For 1 pizza

Mix in a bowl the flour with 1 tsp olive oil, pinch of salt, ½ cup lukewarm water and the dry yeast (according to the instruction of yeast you use). Leave it about 30-45 minutes until it becomes double in volume.

Meanwhile make the filling and the sauce.
Cut the onion and the red paprika in very small cubes.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan. Sauté the onion and paprika about 5 minutes. Add the plant-based meat and fry another 2-3 minutes. Add tomato paste, shoarma spices and paprika powder. Sauté another 2 minutes. Add drops of water if needed. Turn the heat off.

Make the garlic sauce: Mix in a bowl 1 mashed garlic clove with 2 tbsp vegan mayo, 1 tbsp plant-based yoghurt and 1 tsp mint. Season with drops of lemon juice, salt and pepper to your taste.

Preheat the oven to 200 degree.
Rol the dough with your hands. Top with the minced ‘meat’ filling. Bake about 8 minutes.
To serve, top the pizza lettuce, tomato, cucumber and garlic sauce. Rol like a wrap.
